What’s all this talk about wetlands? Think you already know all there is to know? Think again. Learn more about the Senate bill now being debated and the recent Supreme Court ruling.

Brian Standing, Senior Planner for Dane County Planning, will discuss the Senate bill and what Dane County did a number of years ago that places Dane County ahead of the game, and a national leader in wetland zoning. This Tuesday, March 27th at the VFW Hall, 133 E. Lakeside St, beginning at 7:30. Copies of the just published Wisconsin’s Fish and Wildlife Annual Report 1999-2000, will also be available for review.

April 2 - WI Assembly Comm. on Natural Resources public hearing relating to deer hunting and the wildlife damage abatement and claims program. Begins at 11 am, room 417 North at the Capitol. Discussion on the merits of DNR’s deer hunting rules and season proposals. An opportunity to be heard.

April 9 - Spring Fish and Game Hearings of the Wisconsin Conservation Congress begin at 7:00 pm in the Alliant Center (formerly the Expo Center). Be there early, as a number of hot issues will be heard.

April 14 – TU Fly Casting Clinic at Salmo Pond, near Cross Plains, from 9:00 am to 11:30 am. Registration fee is $5.00. Bring your fly rod, reel and line. If none, they will be furnished. If interested send check (Southern WI Trout Unlimited) to Andy Davidson, 525 Commerce Parkway, Verona, 53593.
